A book club for women.
The Shared Shelf is a book club for women through FAC, meeting every 3rd month* to discuss a non-fiction (and an occasional fiction) book written by a female author, either Christian or secular. The vision for this group is to offer a safe place to build critical biblical thinking as a filter for the information we take in, to ask hard questions of each other, and the authors whose books we’ll read.
Get Connected!
Please note we don’t meet in June, July, August, or December. Please have the book read before our next discussion date to participate; contact us for details.
November 20 | January 15 | February 19
7:00 pm, Meeting Place 1, FAC Deerfoot
There’s no cost, but you’ll need to source your own copy of the book.
Most book selections are available on Amazon and the Calgary Public Library.
“By wisdom the Lord founded the earth;.
by understanding he created the heavens.
By his knowledge the deep fountains of the earth burst forth,
and the dew settles beneath the night sky.
My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment.
Hang on to them,
for they will refresh your soul.
They are like jewels on a necklace.
They keep you safe on your way,
and your feet will not stumble.”
(Proverb 3:19-23)
